Although this is site features quite a large number of dogs, it is largely a historical record of much loved dogs of 'yesteryear'. After a three year spell away from breeding we decided to return to breeding GSD's again in late 2008, and decided to move forwards with some new bloodlines. Although we have in the past had 'blue' puppies, we are unlikely to do so again, and if you are searching for non standard colours you will need to widen your search. x
This is a family home first and foremost. We live in a sleepy village on the Cambs / Lincs border, with fantastic dog walks for mile after mile. We only have two adult bitches who live a normal family life with us, alongside Geoff's former working dog 'Frank' and also our little fireball, ''Henna'' - our first Lakeland terrier.
Our dogs are very loved, have a broad and full life, and are very relaxed !! Our puppies are reared in the family home, and experience every possible socialising experience we can think of. They leave our home, happy, calm and confident, well on their way to becoming well-adjusted, contented members of this fabulous breed.
Our puppies are reared on quality food, they are correctly wormed, weaned sympathetically from their mother, and kept in spotless conditions. We have sold puppies to vets, APDT trainers, behaviourists, and other breeders, but the family home is where we predominantly breed for. 'From our home to yours'. That is where our heart lies.
Puppies leave us at approximately eight weeks of age. They are Kennel Club Registered, and buyers will also be given a 5 generation pedigree, a 'care plan' full of all issues relating to worming, feeding, socialising, toilet training etc. Buyers also are given a supply of food, and a puppy blanket or vet bed, carrying scent of the other siblings. We do not microchip or tattoo as we feel this is a very personal choice, but will arrange to have this done if the buyer wishes. All of our puppies carry breed endorsements on their paperwork which we place to encourage pet buyers only. We understand some people's wish to breed, it is a wonderful experience, but having had some deep regrets where pups were placed with breeders, we now personally prefer most of our babies to go to loving pet homes. However, (with agreements made before the puppy leaves us), we will lift endorsements if specific pups are hip scored at a year of age, providing that the score is acceptable, and providing that the puppy has developed into a sound and steady adult.
