Banner was the son of Nyrvana Tao x Myter Maid Marion. He came to me in the winter of 1999, and it is fair to say he is really where Rushlands began. He exuded a quality and a character which are hard to find, and I am forever grateful to Mrs Thomas, (Myter GSDs) that she let him come to me. He was a glamorous, but intensely masculine dog, with a personality which endeared him to all who met him.
He was a wonderful stud dog, a beautiful fellow to behold, and a cheeky and entertaining character, with what can only be described as a wicked sense of humour. He was very keen to learn and to please, but didnt suffer fools gladly..(He was a social climber - quick to spot lack of experience in people, and quick to take the rise.!) With those he respected, he was impeccably mannered, and keen to impress. He was loving and kind, and trustworthy with the smallest of children, but impressive at the front gate if he suspected intruders.
He was a big dog. Around 28 inches to the shoulder and around 48-50 kilos. He tragically suffered a gastric torsion in 2002 and we lost him shortly afterwards. There is not a day when his name is not mentioned, nor a day when he is not missed. He was a dog who will stand out in my memory and my heart forever.... a phenomenen - a gentle giant with a huge smile and a personality which set him aside from any dog I have ever known.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.
Your spirit lives on.. especially in your son 'Quest', who is loved by all who meet him.
